Kozos Racing is the combination of the former Rock Pounder racing, JenX racer and various other members.
Kozos is a dedicated team, looking to ensure the future growth of our sport
Kozos Mission Statement
The Kozos Team is committed to creating a stimulating racing environment for racers at the professional level, as well as developing basic riding skills through the implementation of a grassroots program. We are dedicated not only to introducing young riders to the joy of mountain biking, but also giving back to the community through service and involvement.
Kozos is designed to
be a Deveopemental team. As a team, the goal for 2008 is to
have 25 to 30 racers showcase your products through a sponsorship.
Kozos is different from other teams in our development of new riders. While some
members of the team benefit through the experience gained in competition and
mentoring, others choose to participate in our outreach program.
You will benefit from the marketing that a sponsorship provides, but the sense
of community, teamwork, and hard-work ethics outweigh this. The talented riders
will continue to improve and the best riders will enjoy professional
recognition. One of the greatest rewards will be to watch potential professional
riders set personal goals and aspire to be sponsored one day.
The steps in our plan of achievement:
Kozos will employ Gene Hamilton, Lee McCormack and others for coaching expertise during the 2008 season. He has had many accomplishments, both in racing and in his coaching. He is a licensed USA cycling expert level coach. He has over ten years of experience instructing both amateur and professional level racers in both skiing, and mountainbiking. As such, Gene will provide valuable assistance to Kozos.

Photography and Mechanical work
Kozos is also going to use the services of Ilmars Ziedins for photographing our racers at the venues and doing mechanic duties during these events.
He is a professional photographer, and has spent years working as a mechanic in the bike industry. Mars will be our dedicated mechanic, and also be taking photos for the Kozos team.
Ilmars has had a long career working on bicycles, making him the perfect candidate for Kozos’ mechanic.
Mars has been working with photography from a young age.
From 1990 – 1994:
During College at UNC, he was published in the UNC Mirror and continued with his personal work.
From 1997- current he Ilmars has been working for a reprography company, creating full sized trade show displays and large-print ads with graphical based computer work.
Ilmars has also spent time working with a graphical display company retouching photos using enhanced photoshop express.
His most recent publication was in the Clear Creak Currant on September 28, 2005.
In addition to having Kozos’ own photographer, Vast action sports (http://www.vastaction.com/) is also providing photographs from select race venues.
· Weekly press releases to the Kozos website.
· Multiple publications in area newspapers.
· Possible news exposure from our community service program.
Each Kozos rider is to dedicate 30 hours of community service per season.
Multiple scheduled park cleanup days for Denver parks.
Trail maintenance days where Kozos members will donate time on volunteer trail days.
Kozos is dedicated to representing its sponsors at as many races as possible. The elite members of Kozos will be present at the following races:
Currently, there is no formal schedule for the upcoming season in either the NORBA nationals, or the Rocky Mountain States Cup (MSC) series. In recognition of this, some smaller races may not have our attendance due to conflicting schedules
The addition of the Rocky Mountain States Cup races completes the Kozos race schedule:
Again, the decision to perform in these competitions is based on the 2005 schedule and is subject to changed based on conflicts in scheduling.
